Back to School Night

from 6pm - 8pm

Thursday, September 24.

The UCTECH High School Child Development Class includes an onsite preschool as part of the Child Development curriculum to give high school students a real life experience in a preschool setting.  High School students have an opportunity to put into practice what they have learned in the classroom.  Under the direction of Ms. Sharon Gianneschi, high school students are taught proactive approaches to teaching and parenting.  The students learn to incorporate learning styles, multiple intelligences and developmentally appropriate strategies to guide children’s behavior in positive ways.

The “Vo Tykes” Preschool will be having an Open House in conjunction with “Back to School Night” at 6pm for any parents interested in learning more about the preschool.  Orientation for preschoolers will be Friday October 2nd at 9am or 2pm.  Preschool will begin on Monday October 5th.  For more information, please contact Ms. Gianneschi at

School Picture Day will be held on September 29th during the school day. Students will be scheduled to take pictures during various classes throughout the day. Information was distributed through the English classes in UCTECH. If you need a packet please see Mrs. Marotta (room 702) in UCTECH.

The Power School Parent/Student Portal will be open on August 27th so that students can view their 15 -16 schedules.  Please note, no additional scheduling change requests will be considered, though general questions should be addressed through your child’s counselor.  As a reminder, students were given their course lists for the 15-16 school year in June and families were asked to make change requests by July 9th.  Additionally, change requests based upon teacher assignment, or time of day, are not considered.
